Cracker Barrel Peg Game

Instructions

Each blue button on the game board represents a peg (on the real game board, the peg is a golf tee). Each red button on the game board is an empty hole. Your goal is to remove as many pegs as possible.

You remove a peg by jumping over it. You can only jump horizontally, along a row, or directly diagonally. You may jump only one peg at a time, and you may only jump into an empty hole. Initially, the top hole is empty, and there are only two possible opening moves. You can start with either the leftmost or the rightmost peg on the third row, and jump into the empty hole. When you jump a peg, that peg will be removed, and you will have another empty hole.

To start your move, click on a peg. If the peg is capable of jumping into an empty hole, the peg's color will change to yellow. If you click on a peg which has no legal jumps, the peg's color will not change. To continue your jump, after the peg's color changes to yellow, click on the red cell (the empty hole) into which you want to jump.

If you select a peg, and change its color to yellow, but change your mind and want to move a different peg instead, just click on the yellow peg. Its color will change back to blue.
