Age-Adjusted Running Tables

Select a desired age from the list of displayed ages.

Each row of the resulting table will show you comparable times for different distances for the selected age. Each row of the table will show comparable times for 8 common race distances ranging from 1 mile through the marathon distance. For each of the 8 displayed race times, the table will also show you the comparable "open class" (30 years or younger) time for that distance.

The percentage rating along the leftmost side of the column shows the percent that the age-adjusted time is of the (approximate) current world record for that distance. This table is built on the assumption that world records at various distances are comparable, and that 90%, or 80%, or any percent of the world records are comparable. Thus, if you look across, say, the 84% row, the times on that row are age-adjusted times calculated at 84% of the current world record.

Note that if you select the tables for the 30-year old age group, the table's 100% row will show the (approximate) world records at each distance. The 90% row will show 90% of each of those world records. Tables for any age over 30 show age-adjusted times similar to the 30-year olds' tables.
