Age-Adjusted Running Tables
Age-adjustment factors have been developed to help compare older (over 30)
runners with "open class" (30 or younger) performances. These tables can
be manipulated in several different ways to aid you in comparing men/women,
older/younger runners, and even your own performances for different distances.
I have written a Clipper program which makes all this pretty easy.
If you ever read this and want a copy of that program, you can download
a copy for free from my Web pages.
The tables presented here "age-adjust" running times for runners in the 31-70 year old
age groups, both male and female. The tables use factors to adjust your
time to a comparable performance by a 30-year old (open class) runner.
